Data protection

What this site does not do.

The shortest way to describe our practice is to say what does not happen. The site sets no cookie, installs no tracker, measures no audience and creates no account.

  1. Cookies: none of ours

    The site sets no cookie, uses no analytics tool and follows you on no other site. Typefaces and images are served from our own pages and call no outside server. There is therefore no banner to accept, because there is nothing to decline.

    One element can set cookies: the booking calendar, and only if you open it yourself. The paragraph below explains how. To receive none at all, leave it closed and write to us — the form on the Contact page is enough to arrange a conversation.

  2. The contact form goes straight to our inbox

    What you write is sent to our server, which forwards it to us by email. Nothing is kept on the server and nothing passes through a third-party service: your message goes from this page to our inbox, with no detour. No mail application opens on your device. Should our server not answer, the page says so and leaves you our address: writing to us is your decision.

  3. What we do with the emails we receive

    We use them to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to arrange a first conversation. They are not sold, not passed on, and not used for prospecting unrelated to your enquiry. We keep them for the duration of the relationship, then for as long as our accounting obligations require.

  4. The calendar comes from Calendly, and loads with the page

    Booking happens on this page, without leaving it, but the calendar belongs to Calendly LLC, a company established in the United States. On the Contact page it appears with the page: as soon as you reach that part of it, your browser calls Calendly, with nothing required from you. At that moment Calendly knows your IP address and may set its own cookies. Would rather avoid it? The form at the foot of the same page is enough to arrange a meeting, and it speaks only to us.

    Once the calendar is shown, Calendly’s terms and privacy policy apply: it may set its own cookies, it sees your IP address, and the name, email address and details you enter to book are processed by them, in the United States. Your data therefore leaves Switzerland. We pass it on to act on your booking request; Calendly is certified under the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, on which the recognition of this transfer rests.

  5. Hosting leaves technical traces

    Like any site, this one relies on a host — Hostinger International Ltd, in Cyprus, within the European Union — that records technical logs (IP address, date, page requested) to run and secure the service. Kelya does not use those logs for anything else, and nobody else has access to them.

  6. Your rights

    You may at any time ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its processing, receive it in a common format, and withdraw your consent where it is what allows the processing — withdrawing does not undo what was done before. An email to the address below is enough; we answer promptly, and within thirty days at the latest.

    If our answer does not satisfy you, you may refer the matter to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, in Bern. If you live in the European Union, you may refer it to the supervisory authority of your own country.
